Thru the Eyes of a Child

This past Sunday my 10th grandchild, Isabel, was blessed by her Daddy, my 2nd to the youngest child, Tim. To witness this Blessing was another defining moment in my life.
It pleases me greatly that my children have all grown up to be great mothers and fathers.
Although my 9th grandchild, Haylee didn’t see Tim as the “great father” this week-end. Tim was trying to comfort fussy Isabel in the “football position”, a parenting skill he was taught. Through Haylee’s 3-year old eyes, she saw Tim as a cruel person as his large hand supported tiny Isabel’s head. Haylee’s ear-piercing screams, “Uncle Tim is choking the baby” filled our home. The world is so different through a child’s eyes. I wonder how my grandchildren see me as a Grandma?
